Replies and corrections
Anyone named on this site — an airport, an airline, an air navigation service provider, anyone at all — can reply, and the reply is published here in full and unedited. Corrections to the figures are published here too, whoever finds them.
Published so far
No reply to a published figure yet: these figures become public with this release. The advance notice has already produced one exchange — the organisations notified on 29 July 2026 all received the same terms and the same lead time, and one of them asked for the methodology and the underlying figures before commenting. Those were sent on 16 August, on terms open to any organisation named here that asks for them. No comment on the figures themselves has been received.
On 29 August 2026, all four were written to again. The figures they had been given in July were substantially changed by a later correction — fuel burnt on the ground was being priced by a model of flight — and they are not in this release. The organisation that had received the underlying dataset was sent the corrected one in the same format. The correction is documented in the methodology, and the figures it produced are the ones published here.
This section lists replies and corrections as they arrive, oldest first, with the date and the figure each one concerns.
The invitation is the same for everyone named on this site, and it does not expire.
How this works
- A reply is published in full. Not summarised, not excerpted, not answered inline before you have read it. If it is long, it gets its own page.
- A correction changes the figure, not the wording around it. If a number here is wrong, it is recomputed and the change is recorded on the release history. What was previously published stays readable: a figure that quietly changes is worse than one that was wrong.
- Disagreement about method is not a correction, and is published as a reply rather than folded into the method. Where a criticism has changed the method, the stated limitations say so.
- No approval is asked before publishing a figure, and none is given after. The right of reply is not a right of veto — it is the reason this work is public rather than private.
